How it works

While most health apps track dog or human users, Pawsitive Connection uses duo tracking to connect your daily routine with your dog's. By gamifying dog ownership and personal care, obligatory chores can become shared victories.
Keep track of shared metrics and get more in-depth data by connecting your smart items, like an Apple Watch and your dog's smart collar. Daily tips, such as using a food puzzle for playtime or teaching your dog a new trick, will keep your relationship engaging.

You can be rewarded for good pet ownership. Earn badges and discounts with participating brands by meeting daily tasks.
Stay updated on your health and keep track of your dogs. Having a clear view of changes in patterns can help you get ahead of health concerns and keep your vet well-informed.

An incident/symptom log keeps track of canine health.
-
Basic information, such as the dog's weight and nutritional needs are reflected in an easy-to-read chart with general health tips.
Mental Wellness/User Profile
The user can log mood and emotions before and after interacting with their dog.
Recorded sleep patterns and daily activity are displayed in the Mental Wellness tab to provide a clear view of current habits and trends.
-
Duo challenges encourage users to spend time with their dog. Tasks such as “complete 7 days of 30-minute walks” and “Visit 5 new dog parks this month” gamify dog ownership.
-
The Playtime Tracker is a timer that resets daily and can be set to go off at a time of convenience. When the timer and notification go off, the user needs to engage in fifteen minutes or more of playtime.
The Synced Dashboard
-
SplitScreen health view on the main dashboard displays health metrics at a glance.
-
Direct sync between Apple Watch, Fitbit, Google Fit, and pet wearables, such as FitBark, Whistle, and Tractive, to automatically log activity.
Goal
Develop an app that removes guilt and empowers dog owners to turn pet related chores into shared achievements. By gamifying Pawsitive Connection, the user can feel excited to check off daily tasks that fulfill both their own and their dogs' needs.
Challenge
Users struggle to maintain wellness habits when they lack outside encouragement and reinforcement.
Current health tracking for humans and dogs is fragmented, requiring users to manage separate tools.
Busy schedules and fatigue make dog ownership feel like a chore at times.
